Ever wonder why women still wear high heels even though they can be extremely painful? High Heels are Life or Death presents both the positive and negative effects that high heels have on the body, in the form of two magazines: High Heels Are Life and High Heels Are Death. After viewing the magazines the reader will be able to have a full understand of the effects of high heels and see if they still wish to wear them. Some interesting findings are that high heels are really pushed for their aesthetic qualities without any thought for long lasting effects on the body. The history of high heels is also extremely shocking from it’s origins with a reason for functionality, to modern day where designers push the limits of it’s height. The project includes a poster timeline to inform readers of the full history.
